The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office is seeking a man who allegedly robbed the pharmacy at the Hannaford in China on Monday night (April 25).

According to a story from WABI, the man was described as a white male in his mid-20s with a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the front at the time of the robbery.

The story said the man, who was also wearing a baseball cap. sunglasses and latex gloves on his hands gave clerks at the pharmacy a note demanding opiate-based medication and fled the store after being given the drugs.The contents of the note were not made public and deputies added that the man did not display a weapon during the incident.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office at 623-3591.
