Marty Allen…You May Not Know His Name, but I’ll Bet He’s Touched Your Life in Some Way
Ever heard of Home Vision Video? If you're over 25 and from Maine, you have. It was sold to Movie Gallery in 1996. How about North Park Grille, the family entertainment center with a giant arcade, 2 movie theaters and a large restaurant formerly on Civic Center Drive in Augusta? Maybe Park City Pizza in Auburn rings a bell? Marty has been intricately involved in all of them and they all have something in common. They appeal to our "fun" side.
His latest venture is a free, weekly publication of Maine trivia called, "What About Maine?" and it's full of questions about the Pine Tree State. The advertiser supported booklet is available at locations all over central Maine.
Better yet, prizes are offered for your efforts in correctly answering the questions. You can enter by email, snail mail or on the What About Maine website.
Marty will be joining me for our first of the season China Dine-ah Trivia Night tomorrow night. The Dine-ah has it normally but Marty will have extras tomorrow night. Every week, there will be one or more questions from the current weeks edition included in our trivia game, so there's some added incentive to know your Maine trivia. By the way, the game starts at 6:30 pm every Wednesday, first come first seated.
Good luck, Marty. I love this weekly booklet but I sure do miss the North Park Grill!
