Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger left his cryogenic cooling chamber long enough for a guest spot on Tuesday night's 'Late Show with David Letterman,' where, in honor of the Stones' half-century in music, he read the “Top 10 Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years in Rock n' Roll.”

The video includes some behind the scenes footage of Jagger prepping for his bit and matching his iPad case to his scarf. Biff Henderson, Letterman's popular stage manager, then pushed him from behind the wings. (Grumpily shoving celebrities around is one of Biff's many job perks.)

The singer entered the set to much fanfare, at which point he blew kisses to the audience and thanked them for the applause, yelling, "I don't deserve that! I don't deserve it, but thank you."

After Letterman informed the crowd that the Stones' first appearance was on that very sound stage back on Oct. 25, 1964, Jagger launched into his top 10 rundown. Some of the more memorable items were, "Don't take relationship advice from Phil Spector" and "You don't earn a cent when someone does a song about having 'moves like Jagger.'" (Take that, Adam Levine.)

Helpful tips for aspiring rock n' roll gods included, "Be considerate of other hotel guests - trash your room by 10PM." And Jagger finished with the gem, "You start out playing rock n' roll so you can have sex and do drugs, but you end up doing drugs so you can still play rock n' roll and have sex."

Mick then left the studio in a blaze of photographers' flashes and returned to his eternal slumber.
