Yeah, Mr. Savage!  Yeah, Mr. Hyneman!  It what will surely turn out to be the news of the week (discounting that whole Disney 'Star Wars' thing), it seems that the science of 'Breaking Bad' will finally be put to the test, as 'Mythbusters' is set to tackle the AMC meth drama series in an upcoming episode.  Series creator Vince Gilligan and star Aaron Paul will even take part in the episode, but which of 'Breaking Bad's infamous scientific scenes will the 'Mythbusters' put to the test?

There won't be any magnets present, or even meth, but the crew of Discover's 'Mythbusters' have next set their sights on the plausibility of acclaimed drama 'Breaking Bad's many science-based stunts.  Entertainment Weekly first confirmed the news of the upcoming episode, which will feature appearances from series creator Vince Gilligan and Aaron Paul, ideally exclaiming "yeah, bitch!" at every scientific success.

'Mythbusters' stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will put to the test the infamous sequence from season 1 episode "Cat's in the Bag...," in which Walter instructs Jesse to dispose of a body with hydrofluoric acid in a plastic garbage container, to which Jesse's lazed use of his upstairs bathtub ends in a bloodied mess all over the house.  The concept of dissolving a body in such a way has been repeated many times throughout the series.

Meanwhile, Co-hosts Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara will conduct a second experiment based on an event from the first season.  Plans for a third experiment were scrapped in favor of granting more airtime to the initial two, though Adam Savage noted that the AMC series could inspire further 'Breaking Bad' episodes down the line.  And before you ask, no, they won't be showing anyone how to make crystal meth.

“We’ve been wanting to do a 'Breaking Bad' episode for awhile,” Savage explained to EW. “Obviously there’s a lot of fertile material to play with, so things that happen on the show have been ending up on our list of stories to tackle for a couple years now. And when Vince said in an interview that he’d love to see a 'Mythbusters'/'Breaking Bad' crossover, we reached out to him directly and the response was overwhelming positive.”

The episode will shoot this week, to be aired as part of 'Mythbusters' upcoming tenth season, beginning in spring 2013.  Will you tune in?  What future 'Breaking Bad' experiments would you like to see on the series?
