The broad success of Netflix animated series like Voltron and Trollhunters will give way to a whole new power in 2018. Not only is a She-Ra reboot on deck for next year, but also new animated iterations of The Boss Baby, Captain Underpants and more.

Variety confirmed six new animated Dreamworks TV series debuting on Netflix over the span of 2018, kicking off with Trolls: The Beat Goes On on January 9. Skylar Astin and Amanda Leighton will sub in for Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick as Branch and Poppy. The She-Ra reboot is not yet dated within 2018, but features Noelle Stevenson executive producing:

From Eisner Award-winning author and executive producer Noelle Stevenson comes a modern take on the ‘80s girl power icon for a new generation of young fans. The trailblazing property originally debuted in 1985 to satisfy demand for a female-led fantasy series. The series is described as an epic and timely tale that celebrates female friendship and empowerment, led by a warrior princess tailor made for today.

2018 will also see the debut of The Boss Baby: Back in Business, as the character “continues to navigate the cutthroat corporate jungle gym of Baby Corp, while angling to achieve the near-impossible: the work-life balance of a modern career baby.” Also unscheduled are BFF comedy Harvey Street Kids, and The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, based on the books by Dav Pilkey. Finally, a third installment of Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters is on the way, along with the franchise’s alien spinoff 3 Below. Fellow companion series Wizards is due out in 2019.

We’ll hopefully have a look at She-Ra and some others before long, so stay tuned.
