Today (Dec. 15) is the opening day for the new Augusta Community Warming Center. Their is a a new location is at St. Mark’s Parish Hall at 9 Pleasant St. It is also the home to the Augusta Food Bank, Addie’s Attic clothing bank and Every Day Basics.

Supported by the United Way of Kennebec Valley, the Warming Center will be open from 9am to 4pm for those seeking a warm and safe escape from the cold.

The entrance is on Pleasant Street, separate from the food bank, which is accessed from the Summer Street side.
