Justin Bieber loooooves a selfie -- evidence here, here, here and here -- so it makes sense that he would back a new app with the sole purpose of sharing them.

Biebs and boxer pal Floyd Mayweather are among the investors of a selfie-only app called Shots of Me, TechCrunch reports. Launched yesterday (Nov. 13) and available only on the iOS platform, the app allows people to take selfies, share selfies and like selfies. It's a total selfies celebration!

Only the front-facing camera can be used, and like Snapchat, the photos are taken within the app, so there's no uploading. Another thing that Shots of Me doesn't allow? Public comments! This is by design (because of mean people) -- and Justin particularly liked that part of it.

"Honestly, he loved it. He was a bit annoyed by [negative comments on] other platforms," says RockLive CEO John Shahidi, creator of the app. "The commenting thing was something he really cared about. Not just for himself, but for the kids. He said, 'I want a platform where my fans don't have to deal with this. We didn't ask him for money. He said, 'I want to be part of this.'"

Justin is a hands-on investor, according to Shahidi, who adds the singer "did a lot of due diligence. He asked a lot of questions and he calls all the time."
