It will still be a few weeks yet before the major broadcast networks announce their official plans for renewals and cancellations, though a few networks have already made decisions on their more assured properties. The CW will soon decide the fate of perpetual bubble series 'Nikita,' but early word has broken that the network will likely renew that Maggie Q-fronted spy drama, if only for a shortened season to wrap up the narrative. Find out how long 'Nikita' could return for next season inside!

The CW spy drama 'Nikita' has long been on the chopping block for cancellation, despite having survived long enough to issue three full seasons. Now, as The CW prepares to unveil its 2013-14 lineup at the May Upfront presentation, TVLine has received early word that 'Nikita' will most likely return for a fourth and final season.

The fourth season would likely consist of 10 episodes, somewhat more optimistic than the potential 6 episode renewal glimpsed earlier. Showrunner Craig Silverstein also has attention to give toward upcoming AMC pilot ‘Turn.’

Well, what say you? Are you glad to hear that 'Nikita' will most likely return next season, even with a truncated season order? What CW shows do you hope to see renewed?
