As other economic indicators fluctuate from month to month, there is one seeming constant…Americans like to have an adult beverage. 

The numbers for 2014 spell good news across the board for makers of beer, spirits and wine. According to USA Today, all three showed growth last year, with the biggest jump coming for the hard stuff.

Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. reported that overall sales of liquor rose 4% to $23.1 billion while volume gained 2.2% to 210 million cases. That continued a trend that began in about 2000 and has pretty much gained steam with each passing year.

It kind of make sense. You feel good about things…celebrate with a drink!  Or maybe you are feeling bad about things…you drown your sorrows.  If you make adult beverages, it apparels to be a win-win.
