No One Injured In West Gardiner Blaze

A Tuesday night blaze destroyed a barn on Susan Lane in West Gardiner.

According to the KJ, firefighters West Gardiner, Farmingdale, Gardiner, Pittston, and Litchfield were on the scene from 7 PM until almost 11 PM.

West Gardiner Fire Chief Gary Hickey II said, “The fire appears to have started in a corner of the barn where the power comes in, and it pretty much went from there like most open barns do.

While the fire destroyed the barn, and the building materials and equipment inside, there were no animals there and the barn was not near any other structures.
