Oakhurst Makes Deal With Kansas Based Dairy Co-op

Oakhurst Dairy will no longer be a solely Maine company. Oakhurst has been sold to a Kansas dairy co-operative.

From the article, details of the sale weren’t disclosed but we as the public shouldn’t notice a difference. All 210 employees will remain on the job and the 70 farms Oakhurst now uses for milk remain as suppliers.

Part of the reason for the sale, Bill Bennett says, there is one in line who wants to take on the business.
