92 Moose Live Broadcast From Percy’s Burrow in Topsham with Rick Charette
If you have preschool children or if you grew up in Maine, you've probably seen Rick Charette perform. Today the 'National Alliance on Mental Illness, Maine' or 'NAMI Maine' for short, and Percy's Burrow at the Topsham Fair Mall, put on a Rick Charette show. The ticket money went to NAMI Maine which is an organization to help and raise awareness for mental illnesses, including suicide prevention and drug addiction.
Rick Charette always puts on a great show for kids and today was no different. He was having a blast playing his staples like 'Alligator In The Elevator' and 'I Love Mud.' He's one of the nicest men you'll ever meet and very entertaining. He took a lot of time out to talk with kids and their parents after the set. He signed autographs and even played a little something for a child who wanted to meet him and this was well after he put his gear away.
Percy's Burrow is quite an amazing store. They have well made puzzles, games, books, toys and stuffed animals. Incredible stuffed animals, from as small as mini Ty Beanies to as large as their life sized Gund bear. Just an incredible array of gifts and fun inside Percy's Burrow. They carry a lot of wooden Melissa & Doug toys. It is just a great place. They are in the process of moving out of the Auburn Mall, so for a limited time you can check them out there, as well.
We had a great time. I want to thank Laurie, the owner of Percy's Burrow, plus Dan and the rest of the staff for having us. I also want to thank Cheryl for stopping by and talking on-air about NAMI Maine. Thank you too to Norway Savings Bank for helping, and props to Hannaford in the Topsham Fair Mall for providing the goodies. Of course, I want to thank Rick Charette for his time with us and for another show well done for the little ones.
