If you've got younger kids you know that rainy weekends can end up being a nightmare! Especially, if you are new to an area and live in a small apartment.  It can turn a Cooper catches up on video games weekend into a Cooper...  Well, you get the idea.  Fortunately, Augusta's Children's Discovery Museum is just down the street!

Beginning as a traveling exhibit in 1984, it has grown over the years, opening in its current location at 171 Capitol Street in November of 2009.  There's a variety of fun things kids (and Coopers) can do like the ocean touch tank, a bank, a grocery store, treehouse, and a music area.  It's affordable, too...  Only $6 per person and kids under a year are free.
