There are multiple reports that the CDC has asked Maine Medical Center in Portland to hold a patient for observation as a precaution, but there is not a confirmed case of Ebola.According to reports on WMTW, WCSH and WGME, the hospital said in a press release that it was asked by the CDC to hold the patient as a precaution, but added that the hospital does not have a confirmed case of Ebola.

According to a report on WMTW, Dr. Shelia Pinette, the head of the Maine CDC, told reporters that the case was "a very, very low risk for Ebola."

In a press release, Maine Medical Center officials said, "we take every precaution to ensure the safety of our patients, employees and the community."

No information was available about the patient being held due to confidentially laws.
