Rite Aid Pharmacy in Pittsfield had an attempted pharmacy robbery. The man came into the store, handed a note over that said he wanted drugs and that he had a gun. According to the Morning Sentinel the pharmacist said "you're not leaving here with any drugs." Thankfully, the guy just left the store and no one was injured. The same store was robbed twice before.

That is not how most of these go, most of the time they give them the drugs. But I can only assume the pharmacist was frustrated with the increasing number of pharmacy robberies in Maine this year. The attempt Tuesday would have been the 40th pharmacy robbery in Maine this year. Last year, there were 24.
