The largest airplane in the world will land at the Bangor International Airport today (April 8) right around 4:00 pm.

The Antonov An-225 Mriya will have a nearly four hour flight after departing from Houston, Texas.

How big is it? The plane weighs 628,317 pounds, empty and at over 275 feet, it’s the longest airplane ever built. The wingspan is 290 feet.

Six turbofan engines rocket the aircraft through the sky at a maximum speed of 528 miles per hour.
