You may not have heard much about 'Playing for Keeps,' but we've got the first trailer and some new stills to clue you in to the new film starring Gerard Butler as a man who needs to get his act together in order to be a better father and a better man.

'Playing for Keeps' is the latest film from Gabriele Muccino, who also directed the heartwarming Will Smith drama 'Pursuit of Happyness.' In 'Playing for Keeps,' Gerard Butler plays a former pro soccer player who's down on his luck and now coaches a local kids' soccer team, but the bills are piling up and the mother of his son is marrying someone new, and he needs to do something -- fast -- if he's going to get his life together and prove he can be a good father for his son.

The first official trailer has hit the internet, and it looks like your typical, hopeful message family drama about a guy trying to do the right thing. There's some comedic elements, but overall it looks like just another big commercial feature that's supposed to make your heart feel warm and fuzzy.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jessica Biel, Dennis Quaid, and Uma Thurman co-star in the film, which hits theaters on December 7.
