Poland Spring is a brand and the company takes water from select sources in Poland, Maine, and other places in the state.

But now a dispute is brewing as Poland Spring and another company are both taking water from Poland. Here is where it gets tricky.

By law, bottled water companies have to identify their source. Maine Spring wants to draw from Poland in Maine. Nestle, Poland Spring’s parent company, is being sued by Maine Spring because Nestle is telling Maine Spring they cannot put Poland on their label as a source.

Over the years, Poland Spring brand bottled water has been called out for misrepresenting their source as it doesn’t just come from a spring in Poland, Maine.
