Political Signs + Friendships

We are five days out from the election being held on November 6th. Do you put up political signs on your lawn? Have you lost a friendship over a sign? Until this year we've always rented so we've never really had the opportunity to put a sign or two on our lawn. We thought about it this year. However, my neighbors have been very welcoming and we didn't want to rock the boat, if they felt different politically. I wouldn't want to lose a friendship over a lawn sign. A few days ago my neighbor put up a sign and we're both in agreement on at least in one candidate. So I went and got my signs the day before yesterday and after I post this, mine will be put on the front lawn. Just like on facebook, politics can strain friendships. At the same time, we should stand for who and what we believe.
