A Rangley man has been charged with operating under the influence resulting in a death after a fatal head-on collision in Strong on Oct. 25.

According to WMTW, Mark Garner, age unavailable, was arrested after a pickup truck he was driving collided with a pickup driven by a Wilton man, whose name was not released. The accident occured at about 7:45PM.

The WMTW story said the Wilton man was alone in the truck at the time of the crash on Lambert Hill Road. According to the story, Garner's pickup allegedly crossed the center line and hit the other vehicle, causing both to burst into flames. Garner and his two passengers, Felica Bell, of Philips and Dennis Hanson, also of Philips, were able to escape their vehicle.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department said speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
