This weekend is the weekend! After I finish working on my packing list, I am off to the wilds of Winslow at Camp Caribou. It is the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife women's weekend 'Becoming an Outdoors Women Skills Weekend'.

It runs Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. This should be fun. I never went to camp as a kid so this is super exciting for me.  I will also be working on my outdoor survival skills. My workshops include outdoor women skills, primitive skills, backyard foraging and intro to fly tying.

I am a little nervous, not about the workshops, but I am nervous about making new friends. It is like the first day at a new school.  Second, I am nervous about sleeping.  I am a princess when it comes to my bed, so I hope I have what I need to be comfortable.

I spoke with Emily MacCabe about the BOW weekend a while ago. Here is what she had to say!

I have either over packed or I am a packing genius...I will soon know for sure.
