Rick Ross Denies Tour Cancellation Was Due to Gang Threats

Rick Ross is not going to let gang threats hold him back. After canceling the second leg of his Maybach Music Tour due to threats from the Gangster Disciples, the Bawse addressed the situation on Miami radio station 99 Jamz.

In the radio interview, Rozay accused concert promoter Shawn Gee of not handling their business correctly by canceling several shows without his consent. “I just felt like that was some power that I needed to take away from homey, so I canceled the rest of the dates that I had arranged with him,” he explained.

But Ross denies that he scrapped the trek due to threats from the Gangster Disciples who were looking for compensation after he name-dropped their imprisoned leader Larry Hoover on the 2010 song ‘B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast).’

“I’m a real boss and this is something that everybody needs to understand… gangstas move in silence,” Rozay says. “Any dude can stand in a crowd with 30 or 40 dudes and everybody real, everybody trill, everybody ’bout that life, everybody gangsta. But when the choppers (slang for guns) come out, everybody fold.”

“But more importantly, anybody that understands anything about the GD’s, it’s about Growth and Development,” he adds. “It’s all about support.”

Ross further states that no money will be exchanged with any gang. “So if you screamin’, ‘Cut a check, we need a check.’ Ain’t no checks gettin’ cut. Ain’t never no checks gettin’ cut. I don’t play those games,” he sneered. “I consider that extortion, we don’t play like that. Rich is gangsta. Wealth is gangsta. Power is gangsta.”

So there you have it… the Bawse don’t play that. R-Ruh!
