Selena Gomez Makes the Promo Rounds for ‘Come + Get It’ [VIDEO]
With her bikini-clad antics in 'Spring Breakers' currently lighting up the box office and her recent appearance on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' still wagging tongues, Selena Gomez is having a Moment -- so what better time to premiere her new single on Ryan Seacrest's show?
That's just what she did yesterday (April 8), stopping by Seacrest's studio to do a bit of bantering before unveiling 'Come & Get It,' the leadoff single from her upcoming album -- and ultimately crashing Seacrest's website in the process thanks to pent-up demand for new Gomez tuneage.
But before Gomez's many 'Selenators' descended upon Seacrest's site, she shared a few tidbits about the track. "This is a time in my life when I'm trying to exude confidence, and I think the song is very powerful, and it's fun, and it's a great introduction," she explained. "It does have a little tribal, Middle Eastern feel to it, which I love -- it's vibey. I love that."
Although the new LP -- which she's been working on since last October -- is finished, Gomez admitted she doesn't have an "exact release date" for the project yet, although she did tease that it will include "a couple of songs that were inspired by" Skrillex's "kind of feel," and she promised, "It was the hardest I've ever worked on an album, because I knew it was going to be a really interesting transition for me to make."
Oh, and guys? Selena swears no one has asked her out in the two months since she and Justin Bieber split. As she put it, "I am available."
