Senator Olympia Snowe will be Writing a Book in 2013

Fresh of her TV appearance on Parks and Recreation last week, now I hear Olympia Snowe is going to be writing a book. Snowe decided this year she was not going to be running for re-election this fall because ‘‘sensible center has now virtually disappeared’’ in Washington. I think it will be an interesting read.

It will about her entire life, as the daughter of a Greek immigrant and first generation American. Snowe was orphaned at the age of 9 and widowed at age 26. She will talk about how those events have influenced her life and work. The book will include her insider’s accounts of her legislative experiences with some of the big issues and key political figures from her time in Washington DC.
