Katy Perry's "Firework" was tailor-made for the down-and-out crowd, but who says a four-time NBA champion and MVP of the league can't benefit from its message, too?

Shaquille O'Neal, one of basketball's most legendary players, belts out the Prism singer's most enduring anthem in the video above, which was posted to TMZ early this morning (September 16). They say retirement is a time to pursue your more artistic inclinations, but...perhaps Shaq should explore the beauty of water colors or cake-making, instead?

In the clip, Shaq and Fresh Off The Boat star Randall Park make a case for being implicitly banned from all area karaoke bars. Though the segment only lasts for 34 seconds, the rendition manages to botch several lines and remain largely off-tune, proving some things are better left unsung.

Shaq, who's filming an upcoming episode of Fresh Off The Boat, requested to reenact Park's scene from 2014's The Interview, according to TMZ. Park, who plays Kim Jong-un in the flick, is reduced to tears by the sound of the song, which Franco's character sings to out him as an avowed fan of the pop star.

"I don't know what you're singing!" he shouts to no avail.

Take a look at Shaq and Randall's bit of karaoke above, and hang tight to see the former athlete's Fresh off the Boat cameo—the show returns to ABC on September 22 at 8:30 EST on ABC.
