‘SNL’ Opens Fire on ‘Homeland’
The Showtime series ‘Homeland’ is super popular right now, but you don’t need to have seen it to be in on the joke. You merely need to have seen Claire Danes act in… well, anything.
TV parodies are nothing new on ‘SNL,’ but it’s not everyday you get to see a critically acclaimed actress (in this case, host Anne Hathaway) throwing this kind of shade at one of her peers. The ‘Homeland’ star’s acting tics and over-emotional performance are all the ammunition needed to sketch out a pretty unflattering (albeit hilarious) caricature. We insist that Danes be allowed to host so she can offer a rebuttal!
