The Jonas Brothers have dated a slew of hot women, ranging from Taylor Swift to Selena Gomez to Demi Lovato to supermodels, but the woman they had in mind when they wrote 'Pom Poms' wasn't anyone they've been with themselves.

At least not that we know of!

When a fan at an MTV taping asked the band on Wednesday (April 17) who they had in mind when they wrote the song, the answer was surprising -- if only because of how common it was. Joe Jonas chuckled, "Probably Sofia Vergara." Nick confirmed, "That's a good one. I think we'll go with that for now."

As for the song the Colombian-born starlet inspired? It didn't happen right away. Nick revealed, "It was one of the last songs, if not the last song. It's one of those things I feel like most artists do. They make the whole record and sort of find out the different palette of the tones they have for it and then sort of feel like they are missing a piece and that's where we were kind of at when we wrote 'Pom Poms,'" he explained.

"We had a lot of songs that were a bit darker in tone and we needed a brighter song and something that was really just fun and this song just kind of happened. It was toward the end. From the minute we finished it, we felt it was the right song to lead with."

And now the true burning question: Whose idea was it to have Nick do a danceoff in the video?

"I wouldn't consider myself a dancer, it's one of those songs that you can't help but get up and move," Nick laughed. "And so at least one of us had to do it."
