The Red Sox have added their third starting pitcher in less than 24 hours - this time it is free agent Justin Masterson, who signed a reported one-year, $9 million deal.

If you are keeping score - since Jon Lester picked the Cubs,  the Sox traded for Wade Miley, Rick Porcello and now they have signed Masterson.

Masterson came up through the Sox farm system and was a bullpen guy for the Sox before he was traded to Cleveland in the Victor Martinez trade.

He became a starter there, but suffered through some injuries last season and was traded to the St.Louis Cardinals at the trade deadline.

In three previous years in Cleveland, Masterson averaged 200 innings and a 3.86 ERA.
