Waterville’s Sparetime Recreation will be renovated for the Centerpoint Community Church’s growing congregation. Current bowling alley owner Andy Couture told the Morning Sentinel that it was time. He is also looking to sell Sparetime Recreation bowling centers in Hallowell and Lewiston.

Centerpoint Community Church pastor Craig Riportella has been looking to expand the church. He hopes to turn it into a sanctuary, teen center, child center and cafe. Also the building will house the offices for about 40 staff members.

Bowling will continue until the end of April. Courture also says he is hoping that another, smaller bowling alley, will be established in Waterville.
