State Fire Marshals Investigating Death Of Turner Man

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the death of a man at his home in Turner. According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland,the body of Craig Gordon, 52,  was discovered in a camper trailer parked beside the garage at the home on Turkey Lane this morning (Dec. 15).  McCausland said the camper was being heated by two kerosene heaters and investigators are looking into whether one of them malfunctioned, sending thick smoke and soot in the camper. There was no fire, McCausland said. Gordon’s body was discovered by his father , Stanley Gordon, about 7AM, according to McCausland. The body will be examined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
