As summer winds down and thoughts turn to pumpkins, Halloween and ugh, beyond, we are left with just the memories of the season past.  A post of sorts, “What I did on my summer vacation.”

Probably third in line to getting married and having children, we bought a house. We certainly need it with the three children. Took us most of the spring of 2012 to find, finance and move in. The summer has been mostly about a redo, cleaning and decorating. Almost there!

For the kids, we went to a Sea Dogs game which they sadly lost, on the upside we found free parking close to Hadlock. That was pretty sweet.  We also had a great time at Seacoast Fun Park with mini golf and go-carts in Windham. Awesome place! The Great Falls Balloon Festival is always a cool event every year. Justin my 10 year old loves it. And just last weekend went to the drive-in movies for the very first time. Yes, the first time. I know, you’re shaking your head. Haha.

Great to see my Mom over Labor Day weekend as well. She lives in Halifax, NS Canada, so we don’t each other too often. Got Mom’s approval regarding the house. She/we did a bit of shopping in Freeport, always fun and overwhelming at the same time.

All-in-all, one of the best summers ever! So long summer of 2012!
