The 2013 Met Gala (aka the Met Ball) was last night (May 6) in NYC, and plenty of pop stars were in attendance, turning heads in an array of beautiful (and sadly, some questionable) gowns. The theme was 'Punk: Chaos to Couture,' and many A-listers interpreted it quite literally, like Miley Cyrus, while others, such as Madonna and Gwen Stefani, played with the concept. Standouts, for better or worse, included Beyonce (in Givenchy); Taylor Swift (in J. Mendel); and Katy Perry, who wore a crown with Dolce & Gabbana.
Katy Perry isn't a princess. She's a queen -- a Killer Queen, in fact. The singer is adding to her fragrance empire with a new scent, called Killer Queen. Several celebs stepped out in high style at the GLAAD Awards, while a few pop singers also hit the right notes in the attire choices. Jennifer Lawrence returned to her adoring public with a new 'do and even better dress, while Katy Perry took her voice role as Smurfette literally with one of the prettiest blue dresses we've ever seen.
Then ... there was Drew Barrymore, whose soldier-on-safari dress resembled a tent. Oops.
Katy Perry, who reprises her role as the voice of Smurfette in the forthcoming 'Smurfs 2' film, was a babe in blue at the film's photo call on April 22. Perry flashed a blinding smile while hanging out with Papa Smurf and the blue crew.
Katy Perry is hard at work on her third album, the followup to the smash 'Teenage Dream,' and she revealed that she treats her job like, well, a job: She sets her deadlines and meets them, or else. Oh, and her job is to write about double rainbows.
Seriously.
Katy Perry is known for her ever-changing hair. It was a no brainer when British hair care company GHD hired her as a spokesmodel, but things have soured between the parties and they are embroiled in a "They said, she said" contract dispute, with GHD suing the singer.
