Whiting Farm in Auburn Closes After 76 Years

My wife and I drive by Whiting Farm on Summer St. in Auburn every day on our way to Shaw’s, BJ’s and more recently, with our many trips to Home Depot and Lowe’s. About two weeks ago, Lynn was wondering if Whiting Farm would open this year as we drove by the place on one of those trips to Mount Auburn Ave. The answer is no.

I love this store. We used to live a lot closer and use them more often but we still do order food on occasion from them today. Great food and great owners I might add. I was going through my Facebook feed and saw this on the Heathco's Fan Page . If you know anything about this incident, please contact the Auburn Police Department.

Court + Turner Sts. in Auburn Could Be Closed Until 4pm

I somehow without knowing avoided this intersection on my way into work this afternoon by using Center St. to the Veteran's Bridge then turning left on Main St. in Lewiston. A truck took out a light post at the corner of Court St. and Turner in Auburn. The city hopes to have traffic going back through the area by 4 pm in time for the afternoon commute.

13 Year Old Gone, Too Young, Too Sad

I debated whether to write on this today and in the end I am going to say something. I'm quite sad this morning. A 7th grade student at my son's school died on Tuesday. We received a phone call from Auburn Middle School yesterday at about 12:30 pm. It was the Principal telling us a 7th grade student passed away and that a letter would be coming home with more information.
