Court + Turner Sts. in Auburn Could Be Closed Until 4pm

I somehow without knowing avoided this intersection on my way into work this afternoon by using Center St. to the Veteran's Bridge then turning left on Main St. in Lewiston. A truck took out a light post at the corner of Court St. and Turner in Auburn. The city hopes to have traffic going back through the area by 4 pm in time for the afternoon commute.

Greg Michaels’ Review: Mac’s Downeast Seafood in Auburn is Awesome

The kids were home from school today and neither Lynn nor I wanted to cook so we decided to go out. In the neighborhood there is a seafood diner; Mac’s Downeast Seafood and up to this point hadn’t gone. Granted we just moved nine months ago but still had never been in.

13 Year Old Gone, Too Young, Too Sad

I debated whether to write on this today and in the end I am going to say something. I'm quite sad this morning. A 7th grade student at my son's school died on Tuesday.  We received a phone call from Auburn Middle School yesterday at about 12:30 pm.  It was the Principal telling us a 7th grade student passed away and that a letter would be coming home with more information.

Auburn’s Franklin Alternative School Students are Going to the Presidential Inauguration

Congratulations to Franklin Altenative School in Auburn. Ten Franklin Alternative School students are going to President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony. Some students at the school are really into civics, loved the mock debates and elections and the political process in general, so the school wanted these enthused students to go to D.C. for the Presidential inauguration.

Who Knew They Were From Lewiston-Auburn, Maine?

I moved to Auburn from Portland 14 years ago this month (January 9, 1999). It is hard to believe it’s been 14 years in Auburn. Where does the time go? All but the last six months I lived on Goff Hill in an apartment and now we live in a house just on the outskirts of town.
