Should it be Illegal to Pose as Someone Else on Facebook or Twitter?

Just about daily I get Facebook friend requests from 'people' that I can just tell are not 'real.' I'm sure you get them to. Why are they doing this? Well, they could be trying to somehow hack your account, possibly invade your privacy or maybe spread a virus on your computer. There is proposed legal action that if passed, would make the impersonation attempt against the law in Arizona.

Year End Numbers for Crime in Maine

Some numbers for crime and deaths for 2012 were down, but some were up. Maine had 22 homicides in 2012, slightly below the 10-year average. The state saw 19 fire deaths, down from 23 in 2011. The number of highway deaths for the year stands at 164, up from 136 in 2011 but still below the 10-year average. However, pharmacy robberies were a big issue.

The clerk at the Sheridan Mini Mart in East Bremerton, Washington probably isn't the world's greatest employee. In fact, when a woman came into the store at 10 PM Thursday night the slacker-in-question wouldn't stop talking on his phone as she tried to grab his attention. His conversation was so engrossing that he didn't even care that she had a gun.

Lewiston Police Arrest Man After Armed Standoff

There was an armed standoff last night at the Morning Star Motel in Lewiston last night. The police had blocked off a section of Lisbon Road near the motel and surrounded the building with guns drawn. Lewiston police were joined by the Maine State Police Tactical Team to assist in the operation.
