BIG fun in Gardiner on Saturday as the Whatever Festival kicks off in the Kennebec Valley. Come out and have fun in the sun with something for EVERYBODY!
Big fun is coming to Boothbay Harbor during the ten day Harbor Fest starting with the Boothbay Harbor Fest Pub Crawl with Matt James of 92 Moose this Friday!
I'll admit, my opinion may be a little skewed. I live in a rural setting where neighbors target shoot with firearms as late as 9 or 10 at night. It doesn't bother me. Neither do Fireworks. But maybe I'm a rarity.
Get ready for a full day of family fun with AugustaFest Saturday, August 2 with the Augusta Downtown Aliance. Events get underway at 2 p.m. and continue with the fireworks around 9 p.m.
This past July 4th, weather played havoc on area events. After many events were postponed, some until Saturday and some waiting to run their 4th events on Sunday, it ended up being a weekend full of fun!
Well, into each life a little rain must fall. And it looks like that will happen on the 4th of July. So some of the fireworks have been cancelled or postponed. Check out the list as of the afternoon of July 3rd. I know Augusta and Winslow have some BIG changes!
Independence Day is perfect for outdoor family fun. It's also the one time of year when it’s seems to be okay to play with matches. Family fun and playing with matches may seem like an unlikely combo, but hey, so is America, right?
We are only a few days away from Independence Day. Happy Birthday, America! There will be plenty of festivals, parades and celebrations all throughout Maine and many fireworks displays as well. Here's a quick guide of fireworks displays in central Maine in and around Augusta:
The Alewife is a fish that is gold to fishermen and the town of Benton, alike. This weekend is the third Alewife festival, beginning on Friday evening with a public supper at the Benton Grange Hall. Listen to Antoine Morin talk about the festival on the Moose Morning Show!
The City of Augusta and the Augusta Downtown Alliance present the 'Riverfront Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration.' Join the fun downtown Saturday, Nov. 30, as Water Street will be closed off to traffic. Enjoy horse drawn wagon rides, a full day of entertainment and of course, Santa!
Well, my day started with a trip to Cabela's and lunch at Famous Dave's Barbecue in Scarborough. Then, I come home to the Patriots winning, some pumpkin carving fun with Evan and the kids and fireworks in the back yard. Topping it all of with World Series game 4 in St. Louis!
My ole pal Cory King from the Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce joined us this morning to talk about Riverfest, which gets underway tomorrow and runs right through the weekend. It's going to be fun for everyone from casual spectators to those who want to take a raft ride in the gorge or a glow stick canoe/kayak ride down the river! Of course, there will be fireworks too!
