I have become a total germ-a-phobe this winter. All the talk of the flu and seeing so many people with colds and 'flu-like' symptoms, well, I don’t want ANY part of that stuff! One of the best ways to stay healthy and avoid a lot of nasty little things is simply to wash your hands.

Influenza has officially arrived in Maine. The first two positive influenza 'A' cases were detected early last week. According to the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) these cases were in a young adult from Aroostook county and a teenager from Penobscot county.
