The days are lovely, the nights are getting crisp. It is getting closer and closer to officially being fall. Fall is a beautiful season in Maine. I’m just not that wild about winter. But fall is darn nice. Reports are, with the weather we have had this year, the colors should be great. It is going to be perfect for many nice walks.

The unofficial close to the summer season is behind us. However, for Vacationland things are NOT over. Fall in Maine is BIG business. People coming to Maine for the leaf-peeping and Columbus Day. They've become the biggest moneymakers for motels and restaurants! People, literally, come to Maine by the bus loads to see the fall colors. Fall is also the time of year that a lot of the cruise ships come to the state.
