I wrote this 2 years ago when she was turning 26, but every word is still true! Happy birthday to my lovely fiance and soon-to-be wife, Keri, as she celebrates 26 years of life today! 3 of which have been with me! I know, I can't believe it either.

As I sat on my deck yesterday, alone and in the quiet, I got melancholy. I took in a deep, cool breath and suddenly got an insatiable urge. No, not to write a poem. To do something else. It is THIS that was the impetus for the latest installment of my alter ego's feature, "The Poetry Man."

I'm no Seuss...or I'd be Seuss on The Moose, cuttin' it loose like a runaway caboose! Anyway, my intent is to entertain right here in Maine until I need to use a cane. Here's my little poem. Thank you. No, not thank YOU....that's the name of the poem: Thank You.
