Maine roads are below average, being given a grade of C-. In a new report, Maine's Civil Engineers say they remain below average. The report is done by the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the overall grade for the nation, as a whole, was a D.

Yes. An extra $300 a year in car cost to keep our rides on the road because our roads need help. I could buy half a tank of home heating oil for that price! Gees. This report says about one third of our roads really need some help.

Work on State Street in Augusta is Almost Done

I was reading this morning in the Kennebec Journal that the road work being done with State Street in Augusta is nearly done. The crews are getting ready to paint the lines on the road. But, things will be a bit different. It will be three lanes and a center turn lane.
