A 14-year-old student at Price Middle School in Atlanta was shot in the head or neck on Thursday afternoon. The student was taken to the hospital; his condition has not been officially released, but reports say that he is alert, conscious and breathing.

Matthew Partridge of Winslow who allegedly shot a man to death outside the 'You Know Whose Pub' in Waterville Tuesday night is facing a murder charge. He had his initial appearance in Waterville District Court Wednesday. He is charged with shooting to death Justin Smith of China.
