An assistant principal at an elementary school in New Mexico has told the teachers not to refer to their students as 'boys or girls'.

A letter was sent to the teachers at Carols Rey Elementary School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, titled 'Gender Identity Procedural Directive'. The letter instructed teachers not to call their students boys of girls, telling them to eliminate gender in their classrooms.

Some see this as an expansion of the school's transgender bathroom policy.
