Tesla Supercharging Station at Marketplace at Augusta but What is a Tesla? [Video]

Augusta has a new supercharging station in the Marketplace at Augusta. It's for Tesla, model S, electric vehicles. There are only 32 Tesla owners in Maine but, apparently, the station is there as much for tourists as for Maine residents. A 30 minute charge will yield about 170 miles.

So what is a Tesla? They're all-electric vehicles which vary in styles and features. They run from $70,000 to $120,000.

Can you imagine if we needed a separate gas station for every make/model of vehicle? One for the Ford Mustang, another for the Chevy Tahoe...YIKES. Hopefully, the electric car industry will adopt a standard like the cellphone industry (Apple being the exception) has.
