USA Southwest Region champ Texas played error-free baseball. Latin America champ Curacao did not. That was a major reason why Texas won 7-4 in the world title game at the Senior League World Series.

The West University LL from Houston is now a two-time winner of the SLWS.

In Saturday's championship game, Texas scored two runs in the first inning and then added four more unearned runs in the second inning. One run scored on a bases loaded balk. Another run came as a result of a wild pitch.

Lefthanded pitcher Joe Gobillot pitched into the sixth inning before leaving the game on the pitch count rule(95). Jimmy Wilson finished the game for Texas.

Curacao scored three times in the sixth inning on four hits and a walk.

But four errors by the Latin American team proved costly.

Texas        7    7    0

Curacao     4    6    4
