After spending 76 hours living in a kennel with his new buddies Max and Scooby, Roadhouse Lou is finally out!  He'd been in the kennel to help local shelter animals by raising money for the Christopher Walters' Second Chance Fund

The Kennebec Valley Humane Society’s Christopher Walters Second Chance Fund provides medical care and other needed treatments to animals who find their way to the shelter.  Sadly, many of these animals are victims of abuse and neglect.  It’s not their fault.  They’re victims and they need our help.  In the last 12 months alone, over 50 animals have benefited from this fund.

During his time in the kennel, just under $7,000 was raised.  Didn't have a chance to make a donation this week?  There's still time!

There are several easy ways to donate:

– Donate online here

– Donate through text by sending the amount you plan to donate to 855-584-7039

– Phone in your donations by calling 207-626-3491

– Mail your donations to: 10 Pethaven Lane, Augusta, Maine, 04330

Also, the KVHS is looking for a forever home for Max and Scooby.  The hope is that they'd be adopted as a pair.  Think you could give them a great home?  Call 207-626-3491

A BIG thanks to the sponsors of the event:

And, also to The Red Barn for hosting a fundraiser on Wednesday night!
