The City of Auburn Ceases Curbside Recycling + How Is This Cheaper?

As of July 1, 2013 the City of Auburn will cease curbside recycling pick up. This is due to city budget cuts for the fiscal year.

OK, I’m not the greenest person in the world. I do believe I am in the norm though in saying that I do not have time to take my recyclables to some location only to wait for someone to take the cardboard, milk jugs, glass jars, etc.

I can’t for the life of me see how tossing out recyclables and lets be honest, this will happen in many if not most households, is any cheaper than recycling. The same amount of material going out each week.

Just my thoughts.
