The Voiceover Artist For Smurfette Passed Away

A sad day for us, the kids of the 80's. The woman who was the voice of 'Smurfette' has passed. Lucille Bliss died at the age of 96 of natural causes on November 8th. The Smurfs were awesome.

What were some of your favorite 80s cartoons? Loved watching Inspector Gadget with the voice of Don Adams of 'Get Smart' fame. The enemy was Dr. Claw with his cat. Penny and her dog in every episode saved the day and never took the credit. The Shmoos,  or maybe more correctly called, 'The New Shmoo TV Show.' I liked that one as well. Shmoos were like bowling pin bubble characters and they could change their shapes as needed. Don't remember it well, but sticks with me. The classics, have to love Scooby Doo, but had to include Scrappy. "Let me at 'em, let me at 'em." The Jetsons, Flintstones and my all time favorite 'Battle of the Planets' with G-Force.

Funny, now you can turn to Nick or Disney and watch Spongebob or Phineas and Ferb at anytime of day or night 24/7. You can always find newer cartoons somewhere. Cartoons aren't as special as they once were, at least to me. They're too available. La La Lala La la.
