Here are the things you need to  know today......

Two women in the front seats of a car died, a teenager in the back was taken to the hospital, after a car-tractor trailer crash in Litchfield. According to WMTW, the driver of the truck was not hurt.  The accident happened at the intersection of the Hallowell-Litchfield Rd and 126.  The crash is under investigation.

The Oakland planning board has approved Colby College’s site application to move ahead with a 5,500 solar panel array.  According to the KJ, the state still needs to approve the site for development.  It should be up and running by January.

A few bed bugs were found at Augusta City Hall.  According to the KJ, officials say they are not sure where they came from, they may have come in visitor, but they just can’t know for sure. City officials call in experts to deal with the bugs.

From the Associated Press, The state says the science just isn't there to allow opiate addiction to be treated with medical marijuana.  DHHS said documents submitted suggest medical marijuana has potential to treat opiate addiction, there aren't yet human test studies published that support such treatment.

Heroin and fentanyl overdoses continue to grab headlines, but methamphetamine is still a problem. The State Police advised caution against picking up bottles alongside roads and at outdoor sites after a record number of responses to methamphetamine manufacturing. Maine Drug Enforcement Agency responded to 86 meth incidents during the first six months of 2016. That compares to 56 responses for all of last year.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump says that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made a "dumb" political statement when she said last week that he's not qualified to be president. Trump says on Twitter that Ginsburg's "mind is shot." Earlier Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that it was "totally inappropriate" for Ginsburg to criticize Trump.
