Waterville will consider an emergency step to spend money after the $38M budget is suspended. According to the centralmaine.com, the budget had been approved, and then vetoed by the mayor, then the council over rode the veto. It was suspended after the city was formally notified of a petition to repeal the city councilor’s override.

An Industry man who pleaded guilty to drunken driving and leaving the scene of a fatal hit-and-run in Farmington on New Year’s Day has been sentenced to three years in prison. The victims parents said they were not consulted before the plea deal.
