I understand rock stars getting hooked on serious drugs. I get why actors get involved in substances too. What boggles my mind is how sports players get involved in recreational use of drugs like crack.

I'm sure I'm not the only one reading about Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian. What a sad case if  it is true. Someone when I wrote a status on Odom previously in the thread said, "addiction doesn't discriminate." I understand that but Lamar had it all and if he gets help, he can still be a successful person in the sports world. I assume he's out of the NBA as a player for good but he could be an analyst or a coach. There is a lot of room for him to achieve goals and continue his legacy.

As an athlete, one would think that to be at their best they'd need to be clean (aside from cheating with performance enhancing drugs). Maybe this is all fake and prep for another season of 'Khloe & Lamar' on E!? I highly doubt it. It's more like he's prepping for a stint on 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew' if admits he has a problem.

Assuming what I read is mostly true this is a sad situation. Let's just hope Odom gets the help he needs before he kills someone or himself.
